Jast taking your shed for a morning stroll?

Had to assemble this (whateverthehellitis) for Macy's. Apparently it's what they think is going to sell men's fragrance in the store.

First the McDonald’s kiosks, now this. Twenty years ago my buddy’s mother sold cologne at Macy’s. Now it’s all done by machine. Next you’re gonna see robots sanding.

We’re entering a post industrial mechanized retail hell.

And since when did cabinet makers build robots… the ****.

It's my handyman job. I work for a Management company out of MO. For 3 years I've been doing handyman stuff for a place called Francesca's Collections. Just recently they've been sending me to a particular mall to do display setups.

As for the display it's static. The robot does nothing. Not even sounds. The larger cube at the top has 3 dispensers that have a fragrance sample, you just pull them out like you would a deli counter ticket. That's as much technology there is in that display.

No gimbals or servos? I’m disappointed.

All I did was unbox it, assemble it and throw away all the trash. But no. It's a shiny boring display.

Where ever they send me. Next job is another Francesca's call. Just came in today.

Got 4 18th century windows that need to be repaired. What was I thinking? 🙁

Took the bottom rail off after removing the 4 panes of glass. It was rotted and punky with holes.

Remaking them with Red Grandis.

I have a square hole mortiser attachment for my drill press and used it to make the 1/4"x1" mortises.

I don't have a 5/16" stub spindle cutter to do the copes so I had to do them with a coping saw. Oh ya, old school.

And after some tweeking I get it to fit pretty good. Still need to cut the rail to proper width. And the two tenons on the bottom mullions I "fixed" by inserting a tenon though the bottom of the rail and I had copious amount of glue on the end and wedged it to the mullion. It filled the mortise and stabilized the mullion. Not shown because I hadn't done it yet and don't have the picture.
