Been tough to get renovations last 18 months because of the rising labor costs here and that we only do whole house renovations no one off bathrooms/kitchens and additions- only had one last year, but just pulled the permit on this one. New tile roof, new Marvin windows and doors, all new interior, blow walls out and add steel beams/footings, beef up garage walls to 2x6 by sistering to add bunk room over garage etc. High end kitchen and baths.

Ready to get her going. Superintendent is bad sad he can't get TxElectrician for it he's gotta use duece, big dog eats first and he doesn't like renos lol

The whole wall where thst fireplace is comes out and we are installing a steel I beam

Got a chance to use some of my bushcraft larnin'. Heavy snow made a tree fall and rip the wiring off the house. I rigged a rope to the chimney at the other end of the roof and used a prussic knot to pull it all back up. Had so much tension that the 1" cargo strap I used as a comealong was totally maxed out and skipping the ratchet teeth.

Wires were hot the whole time.

Not that you'll be able to see it...

Making a makeup vanity for the close build I've been on. This thing in on a hinge and will swing out to get to one of the corner cabinets. There's going to be a mirror on the back wall and even a mini chandelier hanging from the top. It's very tall and I needed something to make it look shorter.

But anyway....

The mirror will have built in lights on it and I planned on making it full width of the back. The shelving goes on the right side. But the problem is they might block light from the right side of the mirror. Came up with these made from plexi glass. Ya I know the things she's gonna put on them won't be transparent.

Got the hinged makeup table completed. Got the mirror glass from my supplier and now it's taken apart and in the sprayroom. Got the stain, toner and one coat of clear on it. No pics of that but took some before I took it apart.

LED lighting built in. Not sure how it's going to look when it has the dark stain on it. I thought about painting it white, but it would be the only non stained item in the room. The curve at the top will be getting a mini chandelier.

I think it's time to change the blade on the Bosch Axial Glide. It's been on there for quite some time. I only use this saw for critical joints, crown etc. But it's developed an ever so slight curve in the joint so the middle of the joint touches first. Very minute, but I see it. I push the saw to do these joints so it should be straight, and in the past it has been. So sharpening the blade should do the trick.
