On today's episode of "there is no illustration in the manual for this"....

Someone a while back screwed down a sheet of 16 gauge of galvanized steel over the 100 year old saddle. Did not work well at all, it had some dip to it but not much and didn't go under the shingles very much.

I pulled the steel, cut off the existing overhang between the ridge and wall, framed in the newly exposed valley with some grey but solid 2x4s then fully adhered some TPO in there.
My expectations were exceeded as far as how incredibly well and rapidly it drains.

Ripped 3 layers off and resheeted the upper section. I still have to shingle the backside and tie the funky intersection together.

Smaller project starting up, remodeling but not gutting rhe existing house and turning the attic into a game room/two spare bedrooms/2 bathrooms and a second W&D (stackable)

Outside building a patio with a bridge to the boat dock, and replacing some old concrete stairs that are out of code

Had less than an extra inch to get code complaint stairs, we took the attic stairs out and tossed them, gutted the laundry room and opened the ceiling and existing roof that the attic portion was framed on top of to get the stairs in - washer and dryer move to under the stairs etc.

JR didnt think it would make it, worsdt case we would just had to move the door way but i said very confidently we would have to - was confident but not 100%. When they measured for the stringer and said it's 3/4 " more than we need I winked at JR and said even a broken clocks right twice a day

Current job - zeroing rifle for a client. I actually gave her this one, a .300 blackout Howa with a 50 optic scope.

Man these wild cat rounds are wild changing grains of ammo, 140 to 220 off by 6 inches! Also have to shoot 3.5" low at 50 yards to hit.

I took her to Fredricksburg and picked her out two reclaimed barn beams for her fire places this morning

If by supervising, you mean wearing the Grundens and holding all the heavy stuff, absolutely. Help was on water detail, air on/off, and hauling out chunks.

The stone was buried under both sides of the doorway. Right side is a cut, left side was cut and then put back together with original bricks to look like old work, but I’m sure you can see that. So the stone was too big to haul out intack anyhow, plus nah son.

Latest bathroom remodel, customers are prepping to age in place so they wanted a wheelchair accessible shower. All prepped for grab bars with blocking in the walls for when the time comes. Soaking tub with an electric fireplace for ambiance, and a giant linen cabinet for storage. The vanity is from Wayfair, I wasn't impressed by anything but the price, and the customer loves it. No fancy toilet with heated seat on this one, but I added an outlet behind the toilet as a freebie in case they change their mind 😉. Pictures loaded in a weird order 🫤.

Kitchen update at the same house as the bathroom above. New doors and drawers, sanded down the face frames and shot them with Modern Masters dead flat for a raw oak look. The doors have "reamy seedy" glass in them, which looks way cooler in person. Changed an old desk area to the right of the fridge into a coffee bar with a new upper and lower. Ledgestone backsplash made setting the electrical finish a *****, but what do you do. Added propane service to the house for the new dual fuel JennAire range and a stubout for the barbecue on the patio. New granite tops and a sink from Costco round out the ensemble.
