I'm starting up my business again after 10 years of employment in the commerical world. As a GC, I intend to build new homes, both spec and custom and also take on high end remodels. I'm intending to subcontract all trades and only employ superintendants/lead carpenters/project managers.

For those of you in a similar business model, what software are you using and what are the pros/cons?

I think I'm wanting cloud based, all inclusive platform that subs and clients can get real time info and updates on for drawings, schedule, decisions, etc.

Thank you in advance for your time and responses!

I've been using GanttPRO lately and am still satisfied. This modern and professional project management system is an online Gantt chart. It's easy to work. In a matter of minutes, you create tasks placed on the vertical axis and specify their dates, displayed on the horizontal axis. The result is a visualized schedule, with a cursory glance at which it is easy to understand the scope of work and dates for the project. Work in PDF format is available. However, you can always order a project to create your own software exposit.com. Many companies want to have their CRM systems.

I’ve been using Contractor Forman also. I need to put more time it in then I have to fully use it to its maximum potential. While it is a solid platform, the way it is currently, I believe it is still in its growing stages as they have hinted to making some major upgrades that users have continually requested that they add or change.
