I am not a profesional painter, rather a home improvement contractor. I need to know if anyone has sprayed rustoleum rusty metal primer, what you cut it with and the ratio you used. Also is there a particular hardener that works well with rustoleum paint? I woud appreciate any advice or experience.

As a professional painter, I will say this.... don't even bother. There are way better products for less price and although I don't want to knock ole rustoboys, but... buy some decent paint.

EDIT : Hmmm, southern Del... ok go up 13 (dupont hwy) and stop at the Duron store, just past the mexican place going north... say hi to Ray if he's still there... ask them about what you need, decent prices, etc.... they know enough to help you out.

In fact, spraying rusty metal primer prolly means handrails... call Bill at AAA painting if he's still alive, has a good HVLP setup and experience with same... we did some hand rails and a metal deck on the base up there... well, several years ago, can prolly give ya a good price. Sorry for the multiple posts.
