YES, its a brute, good for small vanities, sample tiles etc...they do get tired, so be careful for $125, it may be at the end of its life. G

 

Here's a couple of shots of one of our current projects.

We we're waiting for the weather to break before we finished cutting into the old house.

 

We're pretty much finished now,and will update with more shots once I get back out there.

It's not quite like the plans we received.The front was suppose to be a 12 pitch from the ridge to the first floor joists,but there was so much buried space that could be used we did a couple of alterations.
We gained about 250sq/ft of living and storage space for the HO,including a two walk in closets ,and an extended hallway, which allowed the bedrooms to be larger and got some natural lighting into an otherwise dark area.

The addition was for two bedrooms over a 1 1/2 car garage and extended kitchen.
It seemed like a lot of work and expense (with all the jogs in the floor plan)so we chucked the plans when we got to the second floor and roof line.

 

Is the roof viable to the left part of this original home or roof line?

Slate Floor

450 sq ft of slate, kitchen remodel. The Cabinets show up in a week or so.

Pretty much done with my part. The toekicks were done after the picture and the countertops went in today. The hole in the wall on the right of the oven cabinet was filled in. The cooktop unit and the oven unit went in the day after I took photos. The HO will be hand painting the cabinets with oil based BM Navajo White. We drilled all the bin pulls and door knobs but they wanted them no installed so they could paint. Fine by me. We installed the crown, they had a 3 1/2" crown picked out and waiting for us, I told them it was too big, it would look like crap. So I told them about 2 1/2" crown would be fine, and they were very pleased with the size after it was up. I was so glad they changed it. So far they are tickled pink at how it is coming out.

Earlier this week I installed a Maya Romanoff product called Geode. It consists of glass bead affixed to a paper backing. Tough to cut, even tougher to get to seam together. It was installed on the back wall of a book case.

 

that looks like a bear to cut....kinda cool though.. I wouldn't ever want it in my house, but cool

really nice touch, sets those shelves off.......would never have thought such a product existed. Good work!

 

Yesterday I installed 2 murals in a store front under construction. The GC had hired a hack who put up one piece and gave up and walked off the job.

 

The product was a material made by Korographics named Revolve. It is made of recycled and reclaimed wallpaper. The stuff is very thin and stretchy. I pasted it with a very thin layer of Roman's Pro-774 strippable clay with a paste machine. It was a tough hang, but double-cut nicely. Total of 895 sf.

Well I hope this counts, design & drafting is my profession now. The HO wants me to do the job too but I am thinking maybe yes, maybe no.
I'll probably end up doing it though.

Here is a small kitchen we just finished up...

 

Nice job. Grout joints a little larger than I like, but good job.

 

The tile was rough. I used a 1/8 inch spacer but the grout followed the cut on the tile.

The ceilings are the original the effect is old age...lol We only had to patch above the sink where we took down the old soffit.

Walker, don't take this the wrong way, but could those recessed lights have been a little closer and more in line for lighting over the countertops? That's where I'd have liked to seen them. I totally understand if there was an old steam pipe or whatever in the way or the HO changed cabinet sizes or whatever.

No offense taken at all. We did install under cabinet lights for the customer. Looking at it now we probably should of put more in. The customer wasn't even sure they wanted the recess lights.
How far apart do you place them?
At the time it seemed like an overkill if we put more in since there is a center light and a hanging light above the sink.

 

Last week I did work in the brownstone. HO wanted to have that same style moldings in the hallway like they have in the other rooms.

I am only plaster moulding person. Other things are GC headache. I already heard more than 100 times, that my business is to do my job, not to worry, not to think, not to care....and I try :shutup:

 

Well your work looks AWESOME. I think the GC should have dealt with those outside corners before letting you do your AWESOME THING. G

 

Agree with you, GC must put corner bead or tape it first, but he 'll do that later. If crown get chipped I'll go to fix...for some extra..
