No doubt, we had 7 of us on one of them for 2.5- hours the other day.

4 guys set 4 today in one hour with the crane. The best ROI I have seen in September.

I set up a rental crane for a company and told the owner,,, watch for guys totalling months and seasons vs counting each day. So I am driving by and offer up 1/2 rate to a new guy to set some trusses... No,,, he can drive his little 20 hp tractor 2 hrs each way etc and set them with a little boom. I forget the details and do all kinds of things to keep the money in pocket but the leap is huge here and the dipstick cant grasp that at 1/2 off.

Reason I commented on this is that I have ran the math from both sides on this,,, as a renter and as a customer and guys that listen and pay attn save a quite a bit even with volunteer labor on truss set or as contractor on tract homes etc especially considering ancillary cost, comp hours, insurance and bennies etc.
Not only that weather, timeliness, can be sheeting roof instead of setting trusses at the end of a day and tomorrow.

I have a different type. I have erected with it but really too small and short for that regular work. But the crane out of the way and the flat is handy as a pocket on t shirt. Got rid of a 1T flat.

When I didn’t have “other people” the shop was always tidied up. If you don’t show/teach the others to keep their work area clean they do not care or understand the time wasted. The do not do it naturally.
