This sink has dropped and the inside corners have no radii, putting the top out of warranty.

Image

Further complicating matters is the fact that the distance from the rear of the cutout to the cabinet front edge, shown in blue tape, is 21 3/8". Even using Elkay's Quartz Luxe Ferguson model, the largest this distance can be is about 20":

Image

This Cambria has to be stretched 1 3/8" for this sink to work.

The failed seam is split. What, did they run out of adhesive on install day? Appalling.

The top is leveled, the seam remade, the top pulled toward the cabinet fronts, the excess overhang ripped off, and the proper inside corner radii created, putting the top back under warranty.

Wanted to save a trip and finish this up when I set the door in the above post. They were setting the appliances, no room in the kitchen for my fat butt.

The ceiling light in the dinning area is original to the home. They had it cleaned and rewired.

Nice little mishap Friday afternoon sometime between 11 and 230 - our own TxElectrician caught it or we wouldn't of know until one of us came to make sure the house was locked. Plumber left valve open is my guess when they turned water back on on a second story bathroom, tile guy had drain covered.

Not a huge fan of these surrounds but they are better than I thought they'd be for sure and a lot of folks who've come by like them. I'm for sure not Martha Stewart or a designer so who knows.

One of these days this house will end. Favorite client, but this far into it we need some new scenery. Just got the 5th edition of the driveway plan today..... going to be nice, unless it gets edited. Stone inlay in diagonal pattern. Or maybe pavers... was definitely stone but she mentioned pavers. Maybe a change coming lol.

My pop is resisting it but I may have to come over and start punching this thing in my down time. Which is what I like to do in my downtime lol

Working on a deck extension. We build a shop for this customer at the end of the summer last year, her brother is our excavation sub. She didn't want anything fancy, but she's been waiting for this since they bought this house 2 years ago. Beefed up a section of the existing for a hot tub, converting it to drip through as well to help with any... splashing lol.

I build new custom homes for clients, typically having 3-4 under construction. I also almost always have one or two specs going too. But I recently did a rare job, a spec remodel. These links show the before and after. The 1st is the "before" house, the 2nd is a realtors link showing the house remodeled. It had a handful of really bad floor plan issues, dated finishes, no elevator to 3rd floor master, a utility closet rather than a utility room, and master bedroom 40' from the master bath. I fixed all of those issues, gutted the kitchen, and several other fixes. It was a very fun job for me, just listed it for sale yesterday. The house was built in 2003.

Just a little cabin in the woods...
This one has been underway for a couple of years now. The decision making process is painfully slow but it seems to be a ‘Hobby’ for the owner and she is not bothered in the least.
Our part in all of this are the three interior fireplaces, the chimneys outside along with 650 lineal feet of stone skirting and sill wrapping around the building. One of the chimneys is ‘false’ and houses the exhaust blowers for the main kitchen as well as the hidden chefs kitchen.
As you might imagine after seeing all the glass and clear cedar siding, money is not much of a concern here.
