Nice looking Mike. 👍 👍

Hey, they have a weather station.

Vandalism.

Destroyers of art and culture.

They Toppled the Tower. You might think they'd be proud of themselves (I'm kidding) but the vandal has chosen to remain anonymous. Go figure.

Well, I can't have people be bummed about this.

And I can't rebuild, against the will of the locals.

This tower was built for the llano Earth Art Festival. The organizer of the event has assured me that for every one hater, there's hundreds of people who loved having my work in the park.

So I'm enlisting the help of local volunteers and we're accepting donations, mostly from locals, to cover my travel expenses.

The time constraint: I want this done, before the eclipse in April.

Thousands of people will be in the park, to witness the solar eclipse--and I'm not going to have them all be bummed, talking about a toppled tower and the foolish actions of the destroyers of culture.

We're changing that story.

Visitors used to stop and get photos here, often with their children. I've got a many photos like this.

This will be rebuilt, and Llano will help, locals will own this.

Thank you for looking.

Church is closing in on done, end of the month is 28 weeks. Hired a welder and he bailed so our guys welded the trusses and structure for the walk way, painter will roll Two coats of DTM and then the roofer will install 24 gage mechanical lock.

Door supplier put paint grade astrigals on my alder doors- sent some bs replacement- he's fired and my guys took solid alder and made new ones.

Lot of pipes (10k$ worth) for gutter pirpes and ground drains and basin drains to redirect water behind the church going in next week and then I'm hyrdo seeding about an acre

Mrs Jaws my never pays her bill cleint is about to get some work. Started planning last June, bought all my appliances (double ovenn Wolf cook top, vent hood, warming drawer, fridge, built in microwave and dishwasher for the kitchen last summer. I bought the two spare fridges and the freezer in january, bought my granite slabs at Christmas, and been buying a few sheets at a time of plywood, Blum orders for drawer guides ect a box at a time

Now we begin, started cutting the cut list for the cabinets this morming myself.

Kitchen is shown here, staying the same except appliances. I already put the fridge in the rest are in boxes in my barn. Trneched to the house and my summer kitchen to run propane for the cook top and my grill. Also relocating my ac primary drain during remodel

The open drawer in the island is where warming drawer goes, I built it to allow for one 7 years ago when I built the house. These appliances still work but not great, giving them away

My dad saw my draftsman first draft and took over the drawings, he drew them on soft plan. He's drawing our addition in Rockport this year too

That's him showing Amber and the ever curious Mrs lily the drawings to get her (Amber's lol) edits. Trash can pull outs in every room was the only edit. He even fit a small desk in for her which I didn't think would fit

My office became a catch all room when I moved into the office we built in town ad you can see, so moving the laundry to here. Ceiling beams stay so 8 ft cabinets in here, and paint grade instead of stained alder like the rest of the house. She went with dark granite and Iron Ore for the paint.

The cabinets on the rear of the island (folding table) are coat storage on the right side with the doors covering, and open handing cabient on the other. The open shelves beneath are for sock baskets, and a trash can pull put on the end.

The big cabient to the left of the built on desk is my gun cabinet, it will house this safe and rhe doors will slide back into the cabinet when open, 60x40". Ammo storage above so reinforced bottom.

Pattern tile is the backsplash with schulter trim

How old are current cabs? I want to use those pics for when I am explaining to customers why alder is a poor choice for cabinets.

7 years same as the age of house. I built from jan - nov 2017. I think Alders a great low cost cabinet material for stain grade - that stain is old school on purpose, meant to look like the Lacy farm house we remodeled in 2014 for the Remodelers Showcase. The wear in tear is from raising Two kids on farm property with cow chit and dirt and no landscaping and raising 3 puppies in 7 years, think my youngest had ran the tricycle into them 2 dozen times that I've seen lol

If you want wear and tear I'll get close ups of those cabientd in the current laundry we are tearing out lol

The old laundry room becomes a pantry, drink fridge and food prep fridge and freezer. Wife exnayed the icemaker lol

The tall cabinets have 4 pull outs behind the bottom doors, nd a pull out behind the lower cabinet doors on the long counter wall. Had an odd corner between those pqntry cabinets and the counter so making a 10" deep lower to return the counter into the tall cabinets. I'm taking the existing foor out and using the slab in a soft close pocket door frame, not looking forward to retrofitting the larger header in there but it is what it is. Takes longer to do thst than it did to frame the whole room

Cabinets are to ceiling 9', she didn't want glass doors and lights in uppers so just solid doors. These are alder to match kitchen. Under cabinet lights and travertine backspalsh to match the kitchen

Existing laundry - hate to tear out i was sure proud of it when I built the house, but didn't anticipate abdondoningn the office or that 40 people would go through the laundry every time we have a BBQ- which doesn't bother me but I don't do laundry lol

When this becomes the pantry the old pantry will become the " Christmas tree room" (storage)

Have a hall tree and bar cabinet Two will post when we build them, leathered Masabi Black granite on the bar. Rarely drink anymore so that's ironic, been since late January since I've even wanted a drink. Taste buds must be maturing 😆
