Do they stand inside the rectangle? The rectangle is like a guard for them?

Nothing really off note this week. I was working for another contractor last week and half of this week in a modular park building entry decks and skirting.
Then went back to the company I work for to start doing the bulkheads in the duplex we finished framing.

Counters in the new office. Confrence table and breakfast table is a porcelain

Unbelievabley the countertop guy won't take any payment of any kind. He said we paid for many times over already

He's either getting a legit gun or we will pick up his tab when we go on vacation with his wife and him and a friend/his wife who is also a builder

He missed the overhang on my little corner cabinet in my office and was going to fix, I said don't worry about it lol

I can handle them, but I don't want to. Last thing I need is an old man back. I'll have to wrestle them into the truck on Monday to get them to where they are going. I think they want me to bring back the old doors also to copy the hardware layout or use the old hardware. So I have to move 4 of those.

Just like you.

Looks like yours came out really nice.

The hardware was a pain. I shimmed all of my revels in the opening. While pinned I installed the upper pintels outward toward the jamb and the lower ones inward. This is to counter the play in the hinge. Then I pulled the shims out and set the middle with outward pressure. Easier said than done with wandering drill points.

It swings like a champ and closes nice. I advised greasing the hinges too. Inside I installed a weatherstripped astragal.

Pintel hinges can really be a pain, They are designed so you can take the door off, but if you set them up straight like that they sag. I usually set them up so the hinges are angled a bit on the door to counteract the sag and you can still lift them off.

Like you said, easier said than done.

That's what happens when you work for someone who is anal.

And an azz.

But I do OK.

My plumber is recovering from back surgery, so I've been splitting the last 2 days as plumbers apprentice until about 3, then going back to carpenter to wrap up the day.

I ran the waste yesterday and supply lines today. Monday we'll get the tub set, Tuesday whatever is left to wrap up

I have a few more rows to put down in the other master closet first thing, then I'll start running some trim

These clients have been awesome. I explained the situation, said if they wanted to use the flooring they selected and had already been delivered, we have to do this. Or they could just cover it back up with carpet

They noticed a difference after we used the quick drive to secure the original subfloor, and were amazed at the difference the extra layer of 1/2" made

About 500 sf of floor down, another 1600 to go (in stages)
