Knowing TTI it's probably a Zircon with a big red plastic enclosure. :laughing:
Zircom had a license to use UWB micropower radar technology, but the FCC tied up everything. I hadn't heard whether it's gotten FCC approval, but when someone comes out with one, I'm going to try it, no matter who makes it.

How does that thing work?? I have had a couple of zircons and I think they are crap... I just got my first milwaukee tool(inspection camera) and could be open to more if they are decent,as I think the camera is
We've got one of those, it will detect the aluminum in pex pipe in six inches of concrete:thumbsup:
 
magnetic stud finders tend to work better...

I prefer magnetic stud finders since they don't give false positives. They either find a screw/nail or they don't. The CH Hanson gets rave reviews despite the fact that it's just a couple of magnets in a hunk of plastic. The studpop just came out early December. It's got a magnet that moves when it's over the metal fastener. Says it works on any kind of wall.
