Did you set those with a string?

I see a bonding issue in the close up pic. A few rather large head joints also in the pic after grouting, probably because of the used brick.

How did you grout the joints, bag or mechanical? Looks too clean to be done by margin trowel.

Looks pretty good - not a big fan of the joint finish though.

A genuine look could have been simulated using a jointer and traditional tools.

This is a similar job we did, granted, much more uniform, but you get the idea.

 

Are those the redland tumbled whatever they are called brick or from Robinson? Either way im digging tumbled brick. Im switching from using Heritage from Redland almost exclusively to using the tumbled ones.

Did you set those in thinset of some sort?
