Last time I spoke with my tile supplier about grout cleaner I was told mind as well use muriatic acid diluted to brighten it.
I restore a floor on a final clean up doing it the customer was ready to replace
I didn't want to replace it.
Worked great.

I know it a year old thread but this stuff is amazing for cleaning grout Much better than Muriatic acid

Muriatic acid leaves a horrible smell

I use viper renew which is an acid or truckmount forums Grout Master. I prefer liquids over powders as they leave some type of residue.
