Any suggestions?

Black or dark brown shoe polish. Then a coat of sealer.
I was thinking of cleaning them so their not so dark... And buying new ones is not even in the budget at this point.
My method...... Wear cheap boots. Throw them away.

I used to do the spendy boot thing.

After years of unsightly footwear, I switched to these:

$19, lightweight, non-marring good-n-grippy sole, and they last way past the "look like crap" stage.
I add a $60 orthotic insole.....and they get relocated to new pairs as necessary. Super comfy.

I keep a stack of new ones in the closet.....6 deep.
I don't think mine have gotten that black...mostly it's mud and grime.

I'd go with a good brushing (remove the laces) and then the tried and true saddle soap regiment followed by a leather polish.

I just got a pair of these, look so classy I feel like SuperSeal everytime I look at my feet.
