I know I can't be the only one to wear a watch. What are y'all wearing that's holding up. I just ordered a g-shock so we will see how it holds up. Up till now ive been wearing a Swiss army. So what is everyone wearing?

This, for sure.

Twice, I caught my wedding ring on something at work. Second time I dang near ripped my finger off, hanging off a 28' ladder. That was enough.

First time I did it the wife gave me the "look" when I mentioned that maybe I shouldn't wear the ring to work. After the second time, I didn't give her a choice. ;)

I know a guy who lost his thumb because he had a thumb ring on and he was planing some wood down and the ring caught the blade and pulled his thumb into the blade  he said his thumb was there one second then in a million bits the next second  also know numerous guys who lost fingers due to falling and getting the ring caught. Even know one guy who lost his finger because his ring turned to molten metal because he shorted the ring out on a forklift battery when he was serviceing it  he said it heated up instantly and he didn't even have time to react. Rings a bad news for anyone working with their hands.

I wear a G-shock or a Citizens Dive Watch. The Dive watch is probably tougher but I hate when I get weld splatter on the crystal. Got to wait for battery change time to replace. G-shock itself gets replaced periodicly (especialy if I forget and dive with it a couple times) so weld splatter and face damage dont bother me so much.

I actualy had my class ring keep my finger from getting crushed once in the navy. 4 of us were moveing a heavy object and the guy next to me lost his grip leaving me trying to react and make up the difference. the stone cracked, the ring turned and bent a little but held it up until the object was picked up off my hand.

But now no Jewlery.

Cheers, Jim

I'd be lost without a watch. My Timex Expedition started getting on it's last legs, so I upgraded to a Suunto Vector. I love it- barometer tells me when the weather is turning, thermometer (take the watch off your wrist and hang it on your tool bags so that body heat doesn't change the reading), altimeter, and compass.

I've never had problems with my watch catching on stuff, but I'd never wear a ring.

I wore the same Fossil for 8 years. Carpentry, welding, whatever. Finally gave out. Wife bought me a Citizen EcoDrive for Xmas one year. :eek:Already had a Seiko dress watch, so I have worn the Citizen for two years. Although usually, if I'm doing work work, I leave it in the truck. Cell phone in the nail bags works well.

Compass, Altimeter, Barometer, Chronograph, Thermometer, Looks good, etc.

It is a nice watch, and the touch crystal is tough too, I have banged it a few times and have not had a scratch on the crystal.

Youtube the Tissot T-touch Expert, and watch one of the instructional videos. You buy this watch and you will be doing that for people all the time!
