I have an old arch door that i need to make repairs on the lock / striker area that was been busted. Im planning on use one of those epoxy filler kits, sand smooth, and re bore the lock.

Can you cans recommend a touch durable kit that could take screws, and a bore? I seen a video on here a while back, but i just cant recall the name.

I can walk into a few stores around here and buy West Systems, but you have to add in whatever filler you need (also sold locally).

nitrile.....and wipe your putty knife on every stroke with a damp cloth, you will be amazed at how easy it is to shape.

For a corner, use 2 knives. Both damp.

I have used west epoxy also, this week actually. Both will work but the Abatron is much easier to form, it forms just like clay would no droops or sags.

The fillers that you can add to West epoxy allow you to get any consistency you want, as long as it does not harden as you mix it. Sometimes that epoxy gets real hot real quick if using fast hardener in hot temps in a large amount.
