Does it have to be wireless? I have been using regular desktop printers in my truck for the past few years. Can usually find a decent one that is a little bigger than a shoebox for $60-80 on sale. I've replaced 2 or 3 of them over maybe 5 years now. Not bad. They get beat up having stuff stacked on them and jarred around and not many problems, I just couldn't see paying the $250 for 1 of those little portable ones.
You could probably find a wireless capable one for not much more?
I am assuming by wireless you mean wireless network.

I don't know of any battery powered portable printers that have this capability built in off the top of my head. Most of them that say they are wireless use bluetooth or IrDA. Does your laptop have bluetooth or infrared?

The HP H470 can have a wireless 802.11 b/g card added to it.

Good choices now would be the HP H470 series and the Canon iP100.

I have used older models of HP and Canon portable printers like the 450ci and BJC80.
Just picked up a HP 450ci. It's compact and works offer batteried powered. Works well
Thanks for the help
