WD 40 did nearly nothing. I used a half gallon of goof off and a whole roll of paper towels to get about a square foot off. Took 2 hours, don't ever use this tape for anything temporary.
Man, oh man, this is worse than getting mastic out of a double hung window (guy thought it was like caulk).

Denatured alcohol works very well for removing adhesives just got to be careful it doesn't discolor the plastic.
Headlights and tailights are safe, but never use it on acrylics like tub handles, it makes them crack / craze - ask me how I know:whistling

Hocus Pocus is the best adhesive remover hands down. You won't find it at any hardware store, but the internet has it.:thumbup:

I'll second the denatured alcohol. I've used it to remove the remaining adhesive residue from the pinstriping tape on my truck. Easily removed the residue & didn't damage the paint at all.
