I am replacing all the window jambs in a house this week. There are 20 windows total. These are some low dollar vinyls. Here lies the problem- the oak veneer jambs I pulled off have a weatherstripping (similar to whats on an exterior door). I guess the purpose of this weatherstripping is no make a good seal between the jamb and vinyl. Does anyone know what window manufacture used these? Has anyone repaired/replaced these? If I can't find the same jambs, I was thinking about running 1x oak through the tabla saw to make a groove to slide in new weatherstripping. Any ideas would be great. Thank you all!
