I have sloppy hammer technique. If I ever get a chance to do some home projects I'd like to hand nail the framing, I'm sure it would do me some good.

We turned around a header and unfortunately the nails weren't showing for the benefit of the inspector. I didn't have any paslode nails so I had to hand nail it in.

Conclusion: I'm rusty.

When I did frame I always had 2 1/2" and 3 1/2" nails in my pouches. I would use half or more each day. Nowadays with the renovation gig all the hammer gets used for is demo and setting finishing nails.
