Who host's your website and what do you think of their service? Also is it shared or dedicated and how much do you pay?

Obviously Humble Abode is looking for a place to host our website.

I'm with www.kualo.com

I pay A LOT for hosting but I have a dedicated server because of the traffic on this site. My painting company does share space on the server though.

The one I use is www.webcentre.ca but I doubt it will be the right one for you. I posted in case some fellow Canadians are interested.

I have been using this service for the last couple of months. While the company is nice to deal with I don't think they are the best. My take is that they have one server for shared access which is not a very good thing. I have seen a couple of hickups already. They do have the standard 99% uptime guarantee.
Price is right and the tools are preety good. I would rate them a 8 or 10.

Host Excellence

I'm hosting 3 websites on Host Excellence, who are based in Kentucky. They've been great and it was $200 for 2 years, for 3 websites, for tons of bandwidth. So if you pay in advance and want to share with a couple others, it would work great. Uptime is good > 99.9%

That is exactly why I choose Startlogic. I looked at that site.
All in all I am happy. I have had several hosting companies through the years. These guys are on the upper end of the scale.

Mines hosted by bitshack.
Its shared, I got 100 mb of disc space (way more than I need), all for $3.99 a month.

I went with hostgator because it was 3000 mb for only $3 more... Now that the site is more or less finished I wish I had gone with bitshack. 100 mb IS way more than we will need. We are weighing in at about 30mbs now... LOL

The nice thing though is that I could make my girlfriend her own site (pro photographer) for no extra charge. We'll see, maybe I'll get me my very own porn site yet ;)

EDIT: there will be no porn site with pictures of my girlfriend... maybe I should just delete the whole statement...
