Hi ALL,

Can you please tell me the best type of Haul truck suited to hauling material 16 km on gravel roads with 25% being hilly and gradients up to 18%? We need 30 - 50 ton machinery.

Regards,

Michael:thumbsup:

is this a road truck too or just a off road haul truck?here in maine when the building is slow we haul logs and loging equip.the average shear is 45-60 ton. so your gonna need a heavy spec truck some thing with 46000lb rearends in it and some horse power like 450-600.
most are running westernstar and kenworth but mack just come out with a new rig built just for the demanding gravel roads.

my girlfriend works at a coal mine. When they say haul truck, they mean something like this:

30-50 ton is pretty small for a haul truck. The one in the picture is 400 ton capacity.
