I don't think people always understand the Great Lakes.
Very true. The lake also affects our weather big time. Lake effect snow is unreal sometimes. This was from the March 3-5 1999 snowstorm...
Two days later, Rochester, N.Y., received another 18.4 inches of lake effect snow off Lake Ontario, bringing the three-day total to 40.7 inches. This established several new snowfall records for the city, including a snow depth of 36 inches.
The same people that dont understand really how big the Great Lakes are,are the the same people that ask "where abouts in the city" when i tell them im from NY. Hello people...NY is also a state, not just NYC!:whistling

Hell yeah. I don't think people always understand the Great Lakes. I have seen 10' waves in Lake Michigan many times.

BTW, nice job, Craig!
I've been on Lake Michigan on a charter boat in 6-8' waves. We started back in when they were 2-4 and by the time we took the two hour trek back they were up to 6-8'. Everyone but me and one other were blowing chunks.

Basement Shower. Sioux Chief Square Drain.

Set the curb today and pre-slope. Had to break out the "Pipe Shooter" to lower the old ABS pipe. Original shower had no drain, the plumber forced the rubber liner around a 2" knub of pipe and place a grill over it.

Looking better now.

The HO had everything purchased when I looked at it but I always....ALWAYS use my own thinset and grout. I upsold the Mapei Adesilex P10, StarGlass grout and Schluter Tuscan Rondec profile. I swear that Adesilex sticks like mastic and it's only $10. Great stuff especially for glass.
Good info there. I like those rondecs too.
