The intercom buzzer has been getting wet. Made up this little visor and installed it with 5 minute epoxy in about 10 minutes out of a piece of black step flashing.

I'll go back with a little mortar mix and hide the epoxy.

Thinking I might need a little hem on the front but will see how this works. I bent it all free hand and just used my grinder and metal snipes. Hoping it works.

If not I'll get my man Jim from Main Sheet Metal to make up a proper cover!

I think someone told me CX owns more of the John Bridge site than John Bridge. I wonder if that is true? I can't remember if it was told to me on the phone or I read it online. It would make sense if you think about it. I think there is about ten partners in the joint venture company that is the John Bridge Tile Forum. I wonder who the other eight are? If in fact there are multiple partners. :whistling I wonder if this information is public record in the states?

Its a shame that it seems like Eric and Henry are on there a lot defending their company/product when they could be hangin out here a little more having fun and participating in some non-closed end converstation about the tile world...

 

Truth be told, a lot of the pros on TYW have gotten away from using Kerdi.

 

I use it all depends on the job. My last shower is mud with HydroBarrier which is top for anything but a steamer in my book.

Ahh. I've sworn off mastic for now. Subway tile goes up so quick skinning over wasn't an issue.

I did a backsplash about a month ago. Returned next morning, HO says one of the decos is crooked, it was. Went to pull it off, mastic not even dry a little bit. :blink: No more mastic for me. :no: Mastic was Dal brand, not sure who makes it. Had it onna trailer. :biggrin:

 

Oh I always use the cbp brand no problems.

 

Yeah, can't get the T1-60 around here anymore. You're right, never had a problem with that stuff. Omnigrip is good stuff too, waaaaay too spendy though.

Not a sheik but the guy works in Dubai a lot. The left one has a hand held , the middle one has 4 body sprays and the right one has the shower head.

Around here the plank flooring is taking off like wild fire. I can't stand setting that stuff.
