When I was in middle school, I had a friend that worked at KFC.... so all my friends were magically getting free BUFFET plates. Needless to say, 3 months later KFC cancelled the buffet. :whistling:

Cool. Looks like a solid install. I've never been a fan of off the staggered pattern on a 45. It makes my eyes go batty. You shoving that Coke machine around too?

 

I like the boarder around the edge, it makes that pattern flow much better :thumbup:

And yes, being the nice guy that I am, and since the decorator didn't take into consideration the framed in niche, I cut the little decos out by hand. They were supposed to be clipped corners, but that woulda put the listello too high. HO is very pleased.

You did those by hand! Wow...you are a nice guy! Looks great.....that's where I have in my fine print on contract about alterations and creating a border verses a pre- packaged deal.....what did you find the best way to do those & just curious....how many did you screw up?

 

I only screwed up one. Used 4" angle grinder and freshly dressed good smooth rim blade. Stoned them with a Dremel and a chainsaw sharpening stone.

In case anyone's wondering, or ever needs to do this. I cut the inserts out from the front to my marks, and then completed the cut very, very carefully from the back.

The tile is an inexpensive clay body floor tile from Dal. Very hard to be sure, but not as hard as porcelain.

Truth be told, while it probably took me ten times longer to cut out than clipped corners, it was a lot easier to install.

HaHA schulter called me this week and has given me 2 free kerdo board showers to try out. We will see, the shower I am doing now I have one the same exact size and i could figure time savings and such out

 

Has been around 2 weeks on the mudset travertine job,so far got 1000sqft of mudset travertine installed and today I waterproof with shower pan and screets mud prep the 200 sqft 2nd floor balcony... Here are some pics from both,monday will be installing 20x20 porcelain on the balcony and after that back to the stone again :thumbup:

Thanks dude,I went trough 3 1/2 yard corse sand + cement for the mudset stone and the balcony prep,all mixed with showel....monday I'm getting the cement mixer although 70% of the stone is done...I do not work with helper,its only me,but I'm 31 year old and strong like a horse.
