Well without going in the attic, there is no real way of knowing. With that I doubt they are bath exhaust vents as most houses down there vent directly into the attic & they are pretty large for that - my guess would be for attic ventilation
The house also had two turbine vents. The pictured vents were located right above the bathrooms about 3-4 feet from the ridge.
Either way, we are ripping them out I have just not come across this kind before.
These attic vents are usually used on older homes that have no soffit vents. They provide a semi waterproof way of letting air into the attic at the lowest point so the hot air can escape out of the highest point. Though they usually have a deflector to stop wind driven rain from entering the attic. Hope this helps
