Passive radon systems are now required for new construction in MN. Real estate transaction are now producing many problem homes due to home inspections. Public awarness is still pretty low in my estimation and of course the all to common reaction to the Class A carcinogen as seen in the posts above.
I heard a statistic that attributes radon gas to a larger percentage of lung cancers than we might realize. Sorry I don't remember the exact statistic, but it really surprised me. It seems to be a geographic thing due to certain soils?
