What did you get?

I got to watch my 4 yo daughter's face light up with wonderment as she saw the snacks she had left out for Santa and his reindeer were all eaten up. (mighty good cookies, I must say)
My 2 yo son is a bit young to know what was going on, he just wanted to eat them himself last night. And was a bit pissed that he couldn't. lol.

I also got to watch the beautiful innocent glee on their faces as they tore into the presents Santa left for them under the tree. "This is the best day, EVER, Daddy!"

I also got myself an afternoon of cursing trying to install the stereo system I got the wife for her car.

The black eyes makes sense now.

I had the enjoyment of watching my 4 year old open up her presents.
The 3 month old just kind of sat there!!

I got nothing so far, it makes little difference to me.
The 3 month old is probably more enthralled with the paper.

I got some 'good' jeans.
got to watch my little ones open presents and had a great (hint of sarcasm) time trying to set my daughters computer up... why cant **** just be easy like it used to be.
As a middle aged adult with no children my joy comes from watching my wife open her presents, Other than that without kids, christmas is pretty flat, GMOD.

I got some carhart work pants for the rain and some Hummer cologne

I got my wife a winter jacket, headphones, and Flight of the Conchords Season 2

It'll be another few years before we have kids
I got to spend Christmas with my mom for the first time in 24 years. My sons played slush football with my sisters boyfriend while I hooked up moms DVD player and new TV. Going back there to watch Cheech and Chongs Up In Smoke with her tonight. We used to watch it together when I was a teenager. It'll be good to hear her laugh out loud again, it's her favorite movie. She's still pretty "hip" for 77 years old.

Enjoy your movie tonite.

Daves not here Man!:laughing::laughing:
I got the visa bill! and two pair of Carhart flannel lined jeans. I also got a kick out of watching the kids (18 months and 4.5 years) tear into there presents.
I saw my kids joyful faces opening presents.

I personally received candy, a coffee mug, underwear (Thanks Santa), T-shirts, and 6 bags of coffee. There was no collaboration between family members, thus the 6 bags.

I also picked myself up a 50mm F1.8 lens for my camera. Though I did not think about the fixed length, it takes some really nice no flash, interior, close up shots. For $150, I couldn't go wrong. Takes nice pictures.

New linesmen pliers, & clothes.
well my wife wanted a dog, so I got her a dog :D first picture

and she got me a new truck: the next pic, look very carefully on the cement below the car..
its hard to see, way down low...

this second is the truck parked in the garage.... hehehehe

I did get her a stuffed dog, say's on the card to go get a real dog, so we're gonna be dog owners soon! :) provision: no yappy mutts. also some other stuff, jewellry, wireless headphones etc etc.

I got some neat stuff, new shirts, housecoat, some juggling battons, (ya, I'm into that, its good for the co-ordination) and chocolates! like I'm not fat enough LOL

spent a bunch on the kids, they're 19 and 29 so its mostly clothing - which they want!

and as a present to myself, I paid off the suv loan! I'd have never thought that could happen being self employed, but wow- good stuff happened to me this year :)
and the best gift of all: my mom's heart attack was very mild, they put in a stint, (I think that's a chunk of brake line) and she's back in the pink- running around trying to fix everyone a meal - so I am just damn lucky!!!!
and grateful :)

I am having an awesome Christmas. My parents came out a few days ago and we had both sets of grandparents here.
I got beef jerky seasonings. (I like Jerky!!!) clothes, razor, 40' fat max tape measure.

Were at a friends family Christmas last night. Went on a sleigh ride.

Just chilluin and meeting with friends the next few days.
I got a Veto XL-LT

Now the Veto XL will take a back seat.
One giant sigh of relief!

We spent all day and a fair amount of the evening taking our 10 day old to 1 doctors office, 2 trips to Emory Hospital emergency room and 1 trip to Scottish Rite Children's Care emergency room.

The verdict was the clowns at Emory do not know how to take a proper blood sample on a new born. :censored:After all that I got to come home an put together Santa's presents for my 8 and 5 year old kids. Not sure how well I got it done after a combined 6 hours sleep in last 2 days.

It was all worth it to see my kids and wife's face glow as they opened what turned out to be a mountain of presents.
