Hey guys, I'm having my trailer lettered. I need some opinions. I'm just gonna go with something real simple. What color lettering do you guys think would look good? I may do shadowed letters, what two colors do you guys think would look good together?

Heres what I was thinking I'm gonna do in the three side pockets of the trailer. I removed all the lettering thats there now.
Killian in big letters in the first pocket
Construction & Remodeling in the second
412-487-xxxx in the third

Since the pic I have added side boards to the top and I am having a cover made that snaps to the boards, thats why I don't want any kind of lettering up there.

Thanks guys, Dave

Rather than getting "stuck" using the body panels, I would get aluminum signs made that are the full length of each side of the trailer and attach them OVER the stake pockets.

Or, put sides on the trailer (you really should) and put the signage there like this.

I think if you don't make a continuous sign, it will look choppy.

Thanks guys for the input,

I like the idea of the aluminum on the sides, I just hate the idea of drilling into the trailer:laughing: I have added some sideboards since the above pic, but I always leave the cover on unless I'm hauling something to big or loading it up. In the first picture that is just a tarp over the trailer, but thats what my new cover is gonna look like except it will have snaps all around instead of bungees so it will cover the sideboards. The second pic I found on the web, for some reason I really like the look, thats sorta what I was thinking of doing. I'm not really looking for the advertising, just a little more professional looking.

Greg, do you have any idea how many calls you've recieved from your signage?

A bunch. Just got one last week as a result of the neighbor seeing the trailer parked in the client's driveway.

In most towns by me, you are not permitted to put up contractor signs, so parking a trailer on the property with BIG signage is a great little workaround.

For instance, I have a job coming up on a very busy street. I'll be adding new signage to the dump trailer to capitalize on the billboard aspect.

I just lettered a trailer similar similar to dkillianjr's trailer. It came out great. I've also done a lot of the aluminum panel style.

For your letters, I would use teal with a white outline or cherry (bright red) with a white outline. I think it would help to compliment your truck as well.

Good call lake city, I acctually just got the trailer lettered, I will have to throw some pics of it up. I acctually went with a bright red with a bright metallic silver outline. I'd have to say it turned out pretty good.
