Psyched myself up to be in the cold all day again today but the generator I am using and my compressor had other plans. I guess they feel they worked in the cold long enough yesterday.

Hell, I feel like +14 is balmy after looking at that. Sure glad I made the decision years ago to learn to be an indoor finish man instead of continuing down the path of framing/remodeling I was on.
Had a nice exterior trim job to start today, my buddy lives 10mins from the job and it took him over an hour to get there through the snow to hang drywall.

I'm an hour away without snow or traffic, I decided not to make the drive in today and work at home instead
18,000 pound excavator could not break the frost last week. I was shocked. Had to bore holes with a big rig.
We're in a heat wave right now, but getting about a foot of snow

It is 57 here in wnc sunny working in a tee shirt
maybe 16 right now, wind chill -10, and no, we ain't working.
8 here with -25 windchill. 5 foot drift along the north side of the house. The town I live in hasn't cleared the side roads in years so I hooked up the snow plow and cleared the road. Made a few bucks clearing driveways this morning as well. This weather finally gives me time to work on my website and work on my never ending honey-do list
Freezing my azz off at 34 this morning. This is ridiculous. I cant be expected to produce in these conditions!

Today in Edmonton isn't bad, -21. I was up in Athabasca yesterday and it was -28 and the sparkies had to shut off the power and therefore the furnace for 5 hours.
I don't mind the cold to much. Yesterday was -22 windchill making it -32 believe it or not I was pretty warm for most of the day. And was happy with my production for the most part.
You boys are nuts. I cant wait for summer. Bring on 105.

Been a heck of a winter here also (N.W. Indiana) record setting snow, and many days highs in the single digits.
How in the hell do y'all work outside in sub-zero conditions.

We were at 12 degrees Fahrenheit a few mornings ago, so I let the guys hang around the shop until the temp got to about 25. They still complained, lol.

We're either manly, desperate, or stupid... haven't quite figured that out yet.

It's like anything, you get used to it. Buying the right clothes helps.
