Well I did it.....

After reading the many posts about the festool line of tools, I took the plunge. I just ordered the 55 track saw with a extra 55" rail, connectors and clamps.
Now do I need the vacuum? I would like to get the 22 I think. Also I am looking at the new mft as well. I was considering getting a slide miter saw but I do not do a lot of large crown. I have a 12" dewalt miter saw that does a great job of that now. I do have trouble with sheet goods since I am a one man shop. Is the table something that you guys suggest?
thanks again for your help and have a great thanksgiving everyone!!!!!

Congrats!!!

I have the TS-55 and several rails. I would get the CT-22 it is the center for all the tools, all of them are designed for dust extraction and the tools perform better with the extractor.
I have the CT-22 and I travel with it, it is their best vac for shop use and traveling.

I have the MFT/3 as well. It alone is not big enough to break down full sized sheet goods, a couple saw horses work well for that.
I have been using my MFT/3 more latley for sizing up panels, I use thee MFT more for clamping, gluing, and a general work table, I love it.
You could also look at their parallel guides for repeatable sheet good cuts.
Enjoy your new tools, you will have years of use out of them.

I have pretty much replaced most of my other tools with Festools.

The Vac will definitly help with the dust control! as you know all the tools are made to work most dust effectively around the vac!

the MFT is great too i own 2-mft tables and love them!

The mitersaw is a big plunge and from what i understand they still didnt work out some of the kinks, So before i drop 1300+ i can wait on it!

Nah, I still can't believe they gave me a different one just because of one laser. That's some service!!

Looking at buying the extension set for it soon.
The Kapex has saved me a ton of time vs. my 12" bosch.

That's Dan, he travels all the country and beyond, installing kitchens.
Did you see how small and comact his set-up is?
It all has to be packed in a small shipping container so it can be shipped to the job, whil he just fly's there.

I got to spend a bit of time with Dan, he is a super guy!!

I didnt see his entire set up but i like that idea! theres alot of great ideas and talented carpenters on that sight!
Congrats,

If your single enjoy buying tools, if your married either burn the receipts or go buy a pillow and blanket to make a bed on your MFT and night table out of systainers.

I don't own any Festool Tools since they are wood-working oriented but I can't get enough systainers!
i have a dewalt 28v plunge saw, obviously not in the festool league but they dont offer a cordless one

its like having a panel saw that you can carry in one hand:thumbup:
So you got another one to drink the green koolaid, eh Warner?

Shouldn't she be in the kitchen at this time?:w00t:
She's doing cleanup as I type.
Lucky man...gets to play on the computer all day and doesn't even have to open the can of cranberry sauce.
