Other then the picture of the guy with his hat too low, it looks better then most I've seen on this site. The picture gallery loads pretty slow.
Work on your keywords. Get all the Analytics codes installed and the site verified by G.

Get rid of the pic showing the propane bottles sitting directly on the roof. There should be pads under those bottles. Show more detail oriented pics. I get calls every week from mine and folks are impressed by the detail oriented pics.
You've done a lot of things right, congrats. The overall look is clean and navigation is easy. Well done.

I do agree that the images are way too slow loading. For the dimensions you are using, the file sizes are significantly too large, especially the thumbnail images. Get someone who knows how to use Photoshop, and who knows how to create web images, and have your images optimized (feel free to PM if you have questions).

I would also rework your page titles. They can be greatly improved.

The writing is weak too. Having a great writer step that up a few nothes could boost your response rate at least triple, and probably closer to 10x.

You have a great start though. Without spending a lot of money, you could turn this into a valuable asset that will pull in far more business than if you were to quit now.
cbscreative please PM me for perhaps you helping the website www.theflatroofco.com

You have done a good job with your site and the seo from what I see. Your homepage is key, they say that a person will leave within 10 seconds of your site if it does not pull them in. Some of the best websites are the simple ones that state exactly what they are and what their service is. Which you have done, I think the only thing to do would be to spruce it up a bit, maybe another picture in place of the other? One that really catches the eye.
I think the site is good.I think we all can do more to make our sites better. Have you thought of video testimonials? Film your customers talk about you and place them on You Tube and embed them on your site.

It has no call to action. It gives me no reason to call you and no reason to think you are any differnt than the rest. It looks professional, but every site is professional. Do something to catch the client's attention. Ask yourself:

What is your potential client really looking for?
What questions do they have that you can answer for them?
How cna you make their experience at your website a pleasant one?
How can you get them to visit the site again and buy from you?
What is different about your site than all the other roofers?

I noticed the place that built the site for you has a decent page rank. They have failed to deliver that same seo to you. It will be important for you to get your site so that it converts, but you gotta get that baby visible when you do!

He's right.

However I do want to add that thinking like a contractor will kill your marketing. Thinking like a writer will do that double fold.

If the customer wants to read about roofing, they will get a book. If they want to hire a roofer- that is what YOU are for!

There is no need to put your propane bottles in a certain manner or make sure your picture displays OSHA standards being met. As your potential client, I have not a clue about such things. That is why you must appear to MA as a professional, not contractors on this forum. I (the guy that knows nothing) will be hiring you, not them.

Another great piece of advice!
