I have built a site www.angillc.com with blogger . what do you guys think ?

Priority one needs to be to clean up your punctuation and grammar or pay someone to help you do it. Spacing before periods, commas, spelling errors, etc..... Doesn't reflect well on your business.
nope is not .this is my second one out off the 4 that i speak . writing was never my best strength. but here in new jersey i do not feel alone. there is plenty like me.
thank you .had my wife correct a couple of things. so hopefully that does it.
The full web version was terrible on my s3 which means its likely terrible on a tablet. Id look into that as mobile browsing is getting bigger and bigger..

I read your comments on the other post about being a tile guy for stores around the area.
I VE DONE THE SAME THING AS YOU FROM 2002 till now . i am realizing that tile alone will not get me far . i just cant stand when contractors use me for difficult jobs and jobs and do the easy ones themselves when they are not so busy.
i ve done remodeling while i was subing. now i want to get my own jobs.
so here i am. i used to have a previous nick njtileguy but i forgot the password and could not get any help from the admin to recover so i just created a new one . so i am not that new in CT

Huh, from what I have seen the admins have always been helpful in matters like that. They just reinstated another guy yesterday..it is just a simple site i was fooling around. i ve never used sites before. always direct the clients to Facebook.

i think blogger isnt the best platform for putting together your contractor site. I would use wix.

It's not too bad for a total beginner site in my opinion. I've seen much worse.
I'd make an article that talks about who you are, what you specialize in, and what areas you serve.
I think having more text will help your site get found, for starters.
I do believe that site is hurting you and here's one reason why: The homepage has the same content as your interior pages (the blog articles). That is known as duplicate content, and the search engines have a hard time with duplicate content, they don't like it because they don't know how to rank it. You're competing against yourself in a way.
Like JBM said, look into WIX, or Word Press.

I highly recommended you use Wordpress for your site. Just buy a simple hosting for about 5 bucks a month, install Wordpress through cpanel, install your theme and write your content. It's so simple now. I'm glad to help you if you need. Just shoot me a pm if you get stuck.

its better than nothing, but wont attract high end customers..not even close
ive had 3 websites...$500, $1,500 and now $5,500
no comparison between any of them...you get what you pay for

the $500 one maybe got me 1-2 jobs in 2 years

If you want your website to contribute to your bottom line you'll want to have it done by a professional. Now it's up to you to define who that is.its not even a $100 website. what is the 5500 website doing better for you then the 1500 .unfortunately i do not have all that cash
Price shouldn't be the ultimate deciding factor. What you should be doing is interacting with a designer, get to know them. Get customer references and contact them. Ask them if their website generates business, ask them how the process went. Then do some Google searching to see where their websites rank in search if at all.
Some designers aren't very thorough but charge you like they are, others over deliver to the extreme because they want your business to see results and know that's what it takes.
A little bit of legwork will help you make the right choice for your business.
