Hello all,
I own a cleaning business and have a contractor that is wanting me to wax the VCT flooring they installed. Problem is I have never done waxing for a VCT floor before but have been told it really isnt hard. My question is after I clean the floor and then mop the wax down do I need to buff it with a buff. One of the rooms I am doing is a small 12 X 12 bathroom so a buffer isnt going to really fit. Thanks for all the help,

Hate to say it but you may be in over your head.

First the factory finish needs to be removed, then the floor needs to be cleaned and rinsed thouroughly. Then a coat of sealer needs to be applied and burnished then the wax.

It really isnt rocket science but the right equipment is needed

I used to strip VCT and terrazzo floors and refinish. We never burnished them untill the finish was starting to look a little dingy, maybe once a month or so depending.

Thanks guys for replys. It helps. I have found a guy that is doing his church and he is going to show us how to do the floors and what we will need. Thanks again guys!
