Hi Griz,

I sent you a pm.

Thanks

Provide a detailed narrative as to what happened.
Where the water came from & how it got to where it's at.

Then the SOW to mitigate the moisture and the necessary steps & materials to complete the repairs.

Mold mildew concerns must be addressed.

Get a moisture meter to check moisture content.

I really appreciate all the input -

Can anybody pm some type of bidding info? One of my guys did fire and water for a few years and had some info., just not sure what the market rates are and how correct his information actually is. Any decent site for rudimentary information from the insurance perspective?

Certainly glad this is a one time event!:censored:

RA,

Time is your greatest enemy! Let the Ins Co pay for a professional to take care of properly with the proper equipment and trained staff. We are doing 26 homes right now and on a 10 story condo complex where pipes broke on 10th floor :)

Doing a favor is a good thing till the drying isnt done correctly OR soon and mold starts forming then I gotta start wondering if you will provide your Ins Policy as a favor...just saying...

If you still want to accept the liability then google Xactimate Estimate and thete are companies that will complete your estimate for you. Normally $250-500 for this service.

Keep our name handy since we do mold remediation in nearly every State :)

I could email a PDF of xm8 prices.... Haha.

Hasn't the adjuster looked at it? They would write a repair scope for you.

Thanks to all who helped - job is complete and check in the mail. I will admit - never will I do it again, what a pain in the arse without the proper tools! I wound up hiring the mold remediation people... something about scraping mold,etc... not up my alley.

You guys trully earn your $!

That's your opinion... :D

Flood houses are awesome! Would be interesting to see the house frozen. Adjuster would still want it dried in 3 days....

Is the Memphis house indoors or out? I was at Nashville house when the temps plunged. I'm neither green or yellow but have several good friends yellow and NO green friends (they awfully stuckup nowadays) . :)

Haha. Not sure, I went to Washington quite a while ago.

Don't know much about the others but do know the SM group has a great set of core values. Not saying the others don't but just don't know...
