Well I started a new job yesterday, I was going in to replace the water damaged drywall in a closet, well it went from a $300.00 repair to rebuilding walls I have to replace 2x6 framing the bottom plate has rottened away to dirt:whistling I guess all those years of a roof leak and no one seen the damage going on. Well here's some pictures, this is what I deal with when it comes to water damage.

Wow that's like a kinder surprise.....you never know what your going to get when you open it up.....sorry for you....
''Life is like a box of chocolate, You never know what you're going to get.''

I get involved in alot of water damage jobs and those are the wost kind, slow drippers un-noticed. And then the homeowner calls in a mold specialist and they fill their heads with all kinds of sh:censored:! Sometimes I never see the end of some of those jobs.

By the way Frank , whats on the outside of the house?

The outside of the house is in bad shape, The people who own the house just moved in last weekend, they picked it up as a Foreclosure, so they knew it would need some repairs they just didn't know how bad the In Law house was. the roof had a 8" x 3/4" hole which cause all the damage. here's more pictures. I also had to pour some cement to bring the base of the wall out of the dirt, the Moron who own it before had put dirt up against the wood siding which in turn held the water in.

Wow! That would throw my schedule way off....two day job turns into 10 day one.

Good job Frank. I'll bet you could spend a month there if it was in their budget:party:
WOW,,,,, did they also mention that they were on a budget and didn't want to spend alot and they needed it done as quickly as possible????
Yeah if water is soaking through the walls that much, you can almost guaranty framing damage behind it.
Why we allways include the hidden damage clause. Basicly if unrealated damage is found this is an option to fix or be paid for what you have done, if they opt not to fix it. Man I cant stress warranty work, that stuff will kill ya, Im not saying you did our ever would, but for the beginning GC never hide stuff, you're just asking for it.

These folks just moved into this place(10/31/09), they picked it up it was a Foreclosued house around the block from their house, they got a great deal, so they jumped on it. the money was tight and on top of this damage they had a asphalt company redoing the driveway at their other house and these aholes burned the side of the house up with a torch:eek: Morons caught the house on fire burned up the back door and the siding all the way up the house to the second floor. A crew of Mexicans and a fat white guy who was the owner:rolleyes: I'll see if I can get some pictures today, The Fire Marshall said the fire was started by the asphalt crew with the torch they used against the house:whistling I guess they didn't watch what they were doing:thumbsup:

I'm not surprised in the least. Probably all illegals & the fat white guy was just looking for an easy payday. These guys should be shot in the nuts so they don't reproduce & the illegals deported via trebuchet. This is the very thing wrong with our country right now. Our government caters to minorities & useless :censored::censored:'s. Nice job BTW Mr Frank, keep up the good work!
