Waste Pipe Outlet Beneath Damp?

Hi guys,

Im curently fitting a bathroom in a bungalow, at the moment im onto installing the new resin shower tray none easy install type which sits on a bed of mortar directly onto the concrete floor.

My question is regarding the waste, with the tray sitting on the floor I'll have to chop into the floor for the shower trap and chop a channel for the 38mm waste pipe, but to keep a fall this means exiting through the external wall about a brick depth beneath the DPC level into the drain.

Is this OK to do? Or will I get issues with damp traking through from this pipe? Or should I just wrap the pipe in some visqueen to keep it from touching the damp brickwork?

Cheers

Steve.
