ok, earlier i posted ''want to add a footing'' in this subforum earlier (cant post URLs)

...and was flamed with a the ''tree fiddy'' joke

ok, i get it, it is supposed to be a real hack with a van and a saws-all who gives everybody the price of 350 in order to get the job. so the joke must be that i am a 350 guy or i need to hire one (i guess). one genius even speculated that i was a H.O., wow columbo what gave it away? was it that i clearly stated that this was a DIY project in my house....

....now i was just google-ing around a bit, found this site, joined up and posted my question just for the sake of a few keystrokes. its no big deal..i'll just ask my mason friend at work tomorrow, like i would've even if i received real advice from my previous post..

my point is that i got hit with that joke by some professional contractor.
who is closer to that tree fiddy guy? not me. i am a union sheet metal worker in NYC. i dont throw prices at anyone. what about the pro contractor? whats the difference between tree fiddy and twelve hunned or tweny fi hunned or fi g's? that tree fiddy guy resembles you more than me ( present company excluded of course )

..... thanx for nuthin but ill have this DIY job done by thursday  ;)
