Where's the CNC router table and door sized planer?

I know of a HO around here that has a much classier set-up in his oversized 2 car garage.

I dont see anything I am interested in.

Ok, the scmi wide belt is pretty sweet.
You aren't an Altendorf fan huh? That slider is the tippity top of their line. He has a digitized miter gauge.

There is a Biesse router in the corner. Planer is in the middle.

You're a tough guy to impress if you have HO's in your neighborhood with better equipment than this.

Although I doubt you do.

I know, that is a pricey machine, and nice. I am a tool whore so...

I would be happy if I had a good sized planer, a wide belt sander and a festool cms router module.

I could do everything I need/want to do with those 3 things.

He has a ****ton of clamps!!

I got a buddy w/ shop that looks identical to that. I actually thought it was his at first glance.

Lives in a 3/4 mill house paid off aint worked in 20 yrs hes 60. Developed a track of land way way back and is livin it up now.

He just tinkers in his shop when he feels like doing something.

Must be nice!

Have you checked out the Woodmaster drum sanders? They also have a planer.

What's up with the planer dilemma?

I have some stuff I need to do at home, and a planer is a major tool I need.

I am trying to get some cypress for my front porch railings, I need to get my floor done, I need to start cabinets, I have some trim to make from some ash.

I can handle the sanding if I have a way to thickness plane.

So basically I am justifying a tool purchase for some work around the house.

Damn Dude, you got a serious honeydew problem.

At least you get some new tools you don't have to hide under a tarp.

That is one sweet shop.... I would kill for his clamps alone... But thing I don't get is why all of his material is leaning on the back wall. That stuff is going to get all bowed stored that way.

looks pretty much like my high school woodshop. And by woodshop I mean cabinetmaking shop where me and 5 other guys got paid to work 5 hours a day during school, somehow the counselors never figured out there was no reason to take woods 1, 2 , 3 furniture making, and cabinetmaking all at once.
