First time home buyer. Please take a look at the picture from a recent home inspection. Interior Alaska, 2006 built home, cement block foundation. The problem appears to be with a warping support beam.
I want to know how serious does this problem look, and how much (very generally) am I lookin at to fix? Can I simply re-tape and paint the corners, expecting the support beam to be done warping? Or is it a substantial foundation integrity problem?
Also in the report is that the cement block foundation is in great condition, no cracks, settlements, or any other issues to speak of.
Any help would be hugely appreciated! Thanks so much!
