While not the best practice, I need to vent a dryer and range hood through the roof. What has me a little stumped is the best way to terminate them--with a 180 bend or a cap (and what type). Also concerned about air blowing back in. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Use a roof jack with a back draft damper. This should be no problem for the range. The problem with the drier is lint will collect on the roof shingles
