I have a mid size bath floor about 75sf that is 1" out of level. I was thinking of using 3/4" ply to build up the bulk of the area, then pouring the SLC over the whole thing. I have never done it that way before and was thinking about any possible problems.

The only reason I want to try this is to save a little bit of time and trouble of mixing so many bags of SLC so quickly.

I'm guessing I will need 8-10 bags if I don't use the ply
