Using License for a corporation

Hi,

I am a c-36, sole proprietor, a corporation approached me and asked me to be a part of their company ... 10% ownership - the reason is that they need to use my license (Which i am pretty sure they don't have now) ... my question, if i join as a partner of the company, does that necessarily mean that they can start using my licesne to contract work? or do i need to wait to have my license transfer over to the corporation? i think 4-6 months in CA

Thanks,

Paul

Here in NM the company holds the license but it must have a qualifying party who has passed the test.

That would make you the qualifier for their license. If you quit, they would need another qualifier.

First things first. Go to the introduction sectio and introduce yourself.
Second you will find a section labeled licensing. In it you will find a thread started with a person who will give you any answers you may have on Cal. licensing.
Welcome!
