The Unico (spacepak) stuff has been around for at least the last 20 years. I see it mostly in retrofit and remodel work, since the small high velocity ducts are easier to hide. For new work, unless the house is some really special construction type, there's no reason to spend the extra dough on a Unico system in my opinion. A cheaper traditional system is best for new construction.
unico is a great system. absolutly awsome, i have it in my house.. but it is expencive.. $$$$$ some times in the up wards od 15,000. depending on tonnage of the system.mine only cost 8,000. thats with 18 runs. , but is all a price game. just make sure you shop around. if you decide to buy it
