Unheated Garage-Vapor Barrier Needed??

Going to be drywalling my un-heated garage and going to be insulating it. Is vapor barrier still a good idea even though its not going to be heated?? Thanks

My opinion is to put it up and cut several 5' slashes in the plastic. You better prefill and do a good job!
What's the point of installing a vapor barrier and then cutting it?
To let it breath a little bit. Code for residential in my area calls for a vapor barrier on all ceilings and exterior walls. I think that can make a house too tight and a few slit's will let it breath a little.
