does anyone have any thoughts about lighting under a concrete bench. something that creates down light like an integral light but don't want to use that in this application
My thought is to use a "deck" light and mount it on the underside of the bench, shining inward to the wall. This would cast an even light throughout the underside of the bench with reflective light. Just a thought.
You might try the new CAST Engineered Wall Light. Just drill a few holes in the bracket and bench and screw in place (with anchors). Here's a few pics - these were LED's but the CAST wall light will give the same effect. (Design by Paul Barcellos)
I like to use Robert's Step Light under benches and steps. It's a 12 volt linear incandescent source and the color is quite warm. They've developed a LED line that I'll be testing as soon as we're settled in Portland.
I have designed a job that consists of puck Lites and sconces on a brand new trext deck with rails. My concern is the discoloring or burning of the posts by the pucks. Any thoughts?
