Here's about 500 sq.ft of 3000 we are doing this month. 2'X4' limestone. Pretty damn flat.

Unfortunately nothing lined up after this job till spring thaw. We figure we have another month between the floor, interior steps and risers and a mile of baseboard.

The stone tile is gauged. I'd say they weigh about 40 lbs each. 2 guys setting each one, one guy mixing and prepping.

Floor is pretty good, but not perfect. We are basically using the clips to hold the stones in position after we get them dead level.

I think with a thiner/lighter tile you could use the straps more to achieve a perfectly flat floor or use more straps. As posted before, because of the weight here we are using the straps to hold the stone in place after we get it level.

Not that one, that's the nicer adjustable one. Mine is just a zip tie puller. Works fine.

Good to hear Opie. I hope to have more jobs to use them on. I'm heading out to the 2011 International Stone Symposium in Jan. My business partner (the tile setter that is doing all the bathrooms and wine cellar) plans on doing the wine cellar floor while I'm gone. I believe it's going to be 18x18 stone tile. I told him he should try the TLS on that. Probably really speed him up on that floor.

Put the last little piece in around the heating vent. Took 3 guys 2 hours to wash down. We still have 3 interior sets of steps and a giant entry hall.
Sealing tomorrow.

1344 sq.ft. grouted and 4 wash downs. I was toast last night. We do the smaller floor today and start the stair layout.

Beautiful looking floor! Why so many wash-downs? I have it down to two and a final buff with micro-fiber. Never leaves a haze.

That was my suggestion. Buff with some old white towels. The lead guy wanted to wash, so we washed.

We laid the LAST tile yesterday. Now grouting and baseboard.

Yes, have a few gay clients around here. Mostly from NYC with weekend places up here. I always say "they have plenty of money and impeccable taste."
The taste part is more than I can say for some of the wanna be millionaires I see. :laughing: They just want to know how BIG can you build it and how cheap can you do it for.
