Bad start to the day got to the site and broke my key off in my trailer lock. It's a trimax puck style lock so no bolt cutters. Trying to get the key out but so far no luck. Think I'll be there for days trying to drill it out. Any ideas?

I don't remember the term for hammering a key into a lock to open it but I was told by the boys at Master Lock it could be done with a puck lock.
Got enough showing to hammer it in or use a center punch?
This may be a shot in the dark, but can you get into the other door of the trailer? Can you unbolt the carrige bolts on the inside and take the whole door latch off and them maybe cut the lock from behind. I have american lock pucks on mine and they have brass slide bolts, so it would seem easy to cut. Maybe
i snaped a key the other day too... the side door lock gets water in it and it freezes and the keys are cheap.
I replaced it with a new set of locks and had some spare keys made while at a locksmith for a client's door, the key he cut me was night and day better quality than the keys i get from depot. Like festool to Ryobi....
Squirt wd40 up there and continually tap the lock with a hammer and it should come down enough to grab the broken end. I speak from experience :whistling:
A very narrow, small saw blade, such as a broken coping saw blade, can be pushed in the lock lifting the tumbler pins, and then withdrawn.
The points on the blade will grab the remaining piece of key and pull it from the lock without damaging the works.
