Today October 22

Today October 22, 2009 a milestone has been reached.

When I started my plumbing apprenticeship I was 18 years old.

Today I am 72 ... 54 years is a long time.

I am still working, mostly -- repair/replace, but I am healthy and I enjoy doing it.

To me this trade (plumbing) has been wonderful
and I still enjoy a good challange.

Best thing about trades in general. You can take something that comes is a box, bundle skid or whatever and with your hands and your brain make something that is useful, lasts for years and usually makes someone very happy.

Long Live the Tradesman!

I've never seen Neo be so happy around here. I think he is excited that he finally found someone else that still uses a brace and bit, the original cordless drill.

I hope I can still walk in 21 years. Way to go Bill.

I didn't even realize they had indoor plumbing 54 years ago ;) :whistling

I'm glad to read I'm not the oldest person on here.
Happy Birthday and congratulations. May you be blessed with the ability to work as long as you want to and not because you have to.
Happy birthday Bill. I can only hope that I'll be able to pick up a screw gun or whatever at 72.

Congrats. :notworthy
