Been applying this product the last few days. Purchased through Green Depot. My application is over new sheetrock, however many different substrates will accept this product with different levels of prep. For new sheetrock primed surface is required, color tinting the primer is an option. This product is very easy to work with, about 20 standard colors available. I applied with a metal trowel, first coat went on with an 8'' knife, because of the barrel cieling the first coat with the 8'' knife could only run in one direction (with the curve). Day two final coat was applied with a 6'' knife in a hatch pattern. After 5 minutes the second coat was knocked down with a 10'' knife, again following the curve. Also, the first coat went on with a tight trowel technique 1/16th" thick. The second coat went on a bit heavier 3/16th max. What is the principle ingrediant in it? It process sounds a little bit more like American Clay than it does a resin or lime based plaster.
